I think that ...Oh, I <B>loved</B> <I>Book of a Thousand Days</I>! I think that it is Shannon Hale's best work yet. I found Dashti to be her most compelling protagonist. The first-person diary-style narrative was perfect for this tale, and Shannon Hale pulls it off remarkably. While there <I>is</I> deception regarding identity among the main characters, there is truth and honor underlying the themes and motives in this book. I found it rich, and true, and poetic, and beautiful.<BR/><BR/>And the story includes a simply wonderful cat.
